Alexandros adds his second winner in style

La Khaleesi victorious at Maisons-Laffitte

First-season sire Alexandros continued his promising start to his stud career on 13 June, when his daughter La Khaleesi won over six furlongs at Maisons-Laffitte.

Having looked promising on her racecourse debut last month, the two-year-old filly had clearly got the hang of things this time around, easing clear of her rivals to win by three lengths.

Bred by Earl Haras du Logis, E. Hemming and J. Ince, La Khaleesi is out of Ciel Bleu, a full sister to Black type winner Vert Val – herself dam of Norfolk Stakes winner Russian Valour. They are from the same family as fellow Haras du Logis resident Authorized, plus Arc winner Solemia.

Alexandros has now sired six horses that have won or been placed from seven runners. One of the most precocious sons of Kingmambo, Alexandros won the G3 Prix de Cabourg as a juvenile before running third in the G1 Prix Morny. He was also placed in the Lockinge (beaten just a nose) and the Dubai Duty Free.
