Ace Impact remains unbeaten in Deauville

Cracksman’s star three-year-old wins the G2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano

Cracksman’s brilliant first-crop son Ace Impact returned to the track on Tuesday, 15 August with a thrilling victory in the G2 Prix Guillaume d’Ornano. Heading into the race with an unblemished record, he swopped from the back to win going away, with Cloth Of Star’s Birr Castle running an excellent race to finish third.

Ace Impact has now won all his five starts including a wide-margin victory over Big Rock in the G1 Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly. He is the current ante-post favourite for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Bred by Mrs Waltraut Spanner, Ace Impact is the first Stakes winner bred out of the Anabaa Blue mare Absolutly Me, who was placed at Stakes level in both France and Germany.

Ace Impact is one of three Stakes winning three-year-olds sired by Cracksman this year including German filly Weracruz, who has also been placed in the G1 Deutsches Derby.
