Blue Point mare Point Barrow recorded consecutive G3 victories with a late-running success in the G3 Northwood Plume Stakes (1,200m) at Caulfield on Saturday 10 October, 2026.
Three weeks after winning the G3 How Now Stakes over the same course and distance, Point Barrow again settled towards the rear before producing a powerful finish under Mark Zahra.
The victory was her fourth at Stakes level and seventh from 12 starts. Trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman will now consider the G1 Champions Sprint at Flemington on Saturday 7 November.
Bred by Robert and Barbara McClure’s Morning Rise Stud, Point Barrow is out of G3 winner Take Pride and was purchased for $400,000 at the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
She adds to another strong year for Blue Point, led by four-time G1 winner Blue Bolt, Folsom Blues and Samangan. His five G1-winning colts include Champion miler Rosallion, while his 2026 yearlings have sold for up to one million guineas.
Blue Point shuttled to Northwood Park for five seasons and now stands at Kildangan Stud.
