Emocionante the latest winner for Naval Crown

Filly is victorious on racecourse debut to add to her first-season sire’s tally

Naval Crown sired an exciting looking new winner on Monday, 5 October when his daughter Emocionante made a successful racecourse debut at Yarmouth.

Always handy under Kaiya Fraser, the Harry Eustace-trained filly moved upsides the early leader with two furlongs left to run and saw out her race perfectly to win by a length.

Bred by Kilweelran Stud, Emocionante is out of the Iffraaj mare Iffa Red, who has now produced three winners from three foals to race. The dam is herself a daughter of the Stakes-placed mare Red Top, herself a half-sister to G3 winner and Queen Mary third Rag Top.

Naval Crown has made a promising start to his stud career, with three Black Type horses to his name already, headed by G3 winner Sea Of Rain and last weekend’s G1 Middle Park third Hell of A Spin, who could reappear in Friday's G3 Newmarket Academy Godolphin Beacon Project Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket.
