Dance A Jig, from the first crop of Naval Crown, posted a well-deserved first win at Haydock on Friday, 7 August with a dominant victory in the five-furlong nursery.
Always handy under Hector Crouch, the Ralph Beckett-trained colt took up the running a furlong from home and from then on, the result never looked in doubt as he cruised to a two-and-a-half-length win.
Dance A Jig was bred by Littleton Stud and is out of the winning Danehill Dancer mare Strictly Dancing, now dam of eight individual winners including Dancing Star and Foxtrot Lady, who have both landed the G3 Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster.
Naval Crown is also sire of the highly rated Agrippa, allotted a mark of 94 by Timeform after his victory at Goodwood, plus G3 Molecomb Stakes third Hell of A Spin.
