Blue Point sires his 49th winner

Ask The Dust strikes in Italy

Blue Point sired his 49th individual winner on Sunday, 26 November when Ask The Dust struck at Pisa in Italy. Making her third career start, she beat five rivals in a 1200m conditions race.

Bred by Ms Angela Rossi and a €40,000 yearling, she is the first foal of the unraced Empire Maker mare Tulla Vaughan, who is herself a daughter of G2-winning juvenile Touch Love.

Blue Point has been the star amongst European first-crop stallions, siring 49 winners and nine Stakes performers. Amongst his five that have won at Stakes level is Rosallion, who became his first G1 winner when taking the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp’s Arc meeting and Breeders’ Cup hero Big Evs. Blue Point is the first European first-crop sire since Sadler’s Wells to have two G1 winning juveniles in their first season.

Blue Point will be covering this upcoming season at a fee of €60,000.
