The stock of Blue Point continues to rise and on Monday, 24 August a lifetime breeding right sold for €480,000 on Darley’s Winning Bid platform. This was the second breeding right to be sold in 2026 following a €470,000 purchase last month.
It is unsurprising he is in such demand after a spectacular season to date. Blue Bolt has shown herself to be one of the leading fillies in training with a brace of G1s, Samangan recently won the G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest for owner/breeder the Aga Khan, and the unbeaten juvenile Inner City Blues is favourite for the G1 Middle Park after his triumph at Newmarket in the G2 July Stakes.
Sam Bullard, Director of Stallions, commented “It is fantastic to see that our client’s faith in Blue Point matches our view that he is one of the best young stallions in Europe. He has had a brilliant year with Blue Bolt, Samangan, Rayevka and Inner City Blues carrying the flag and things can only get better with the quality of his stock coming through”
