First G1 win for son of Raven’s Pass

Tower Of London thrills in the G1 Sprinters Stakes in Japan

Raven’s Pass four-year-old son Tower Of London landed his first G1 win on Sunday, 29 September when winning the Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama in Japan. Held up in midfield under jockey Christophe Lemaire, he made his move in straight, running on really well to overhaul Mozu Superflare by half a length near the line.

Tower Of London has now won half of his 14 career starts including four at Group level. He had already marked himself down as one of the leading sprinters in Japan when breaking the track record in the G2 Centaur Stakes earlier this month.

Tower of London is the first foal out of the multiple winner Snow Pine (Dalakhani), a half-sister to Lake Toya – dam of Dubawi’s 2017 G1 winner Sobetsu. She is also a half-sister to fellow Stakes winner Sixth Sense (Shamardal) and from the family of Generous.

Raven’s Pass has sired five Stakes winners this season including the highly rated Group performer Matterhorn, Dubai Group sprint winner Raven’s Corner and Stakes-winning juvenile Lady Galore.
