Space Blues, the fastest Dubawi-line stallion to sire a G1 winner, added another successful runner to his record on Tuesday 4 November when Kuiama put up a strong battle to win over five furlongs at Wolverhampton.
Always prominent under Lillie Dingle, Kuiama took the lead three furlongs from home and moved clear from her rivals a furlong out. She was hard pressed close to home by eventual second Filly Foden but dug in deep to win by a neck.
Bred by the Looks A Million Partnership, named after her dam, Kuiana is a half-sister to two further winners. Her dam is herself a daughter of G2 Temple Stakes winner Look Busy, making her a half-sister to Night Of Thunder’s G1-placed filly Keep Busy. She is also from the family of G1 Prix Morny winner Unfortunately.
Space Blues now has 18 winners to his name, including G1 Phoenix Stakes winner Power Blue, who took the race in the fastest time for over 20 years. He is also sire of €100k earner Stellar Sunrise plus Do Or Do Not, who has been placed at G2 level on multiple occasions.
