Second Stakes winner in two days for Authorized

His three-year-old daughter Lacy wins the BMW Preis in Germany

Lacy, a three-year-old filly by Authorized, gave her sire his second Stakes victory in as many days on Saturday June 21 when victorious in the Listed BMW Preis at Dusseldorf. Held up near the rear early in the 2100m contest, she gained a dream run up the inside in the straight before switching to catch the leader near the finish. Today's victory is her second in only three starts and she holds an entry in the G1 Preis der Diana (German Oaks) in August.

Owned and bred by Gestut Fahrhof, Lacy if the first winner bred by the Oasis Dream mare La Vinchina, a half-sister to German Derby winner Lavirco and from the family of German Horse of the Year Lomitas.

Authorized has sired 10 individual Stakes performers in 2014 including Ambivalent, who won the G2 Middleton Stakes at York and Hartnell, winner of the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot yesterday. Hartnell was the second leg of a Royal Ascot double for Authorized after Elite Army's impressive victory in the King George V Handicap.
