Honour for Authorized

Honor Bound wins Oaks Trial at Lingfield

Honor Bound, a three-year-old filly by Authorized, won at her first attempt at Stakes level on Saturday May 10 when gamely winning the Listed Oaks Trial Stakes at Lingfield Park. A maiden winner at Windsor on her previous start, she has improved with every start and showed great tenacity to record a nose victory.

Owned and bred by Ashley House Stud, Honor Bound is out of the three-time winning Mark Of Esteem mare Honorine and a half-sister to Irish Derby winner Treasure Beach and Elidor, a colt by Cape Cross who was placed in Lingfield's Derby Trial last season.

Standing at Haras du Logis at a fee of €10,000, Authorized has now sired seven Stakes performers in 2014 including the G3-winning filly Daksha, Ambivalent who was an excellent third in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic in March and Group colts Answered, Bande and Danchai.
