Consistent Biraaj the latest juvenile Stakes winner for Iffraaj

Promising colt lands the Listed Prix Zeddaan

Iffraaj, whose progeny are well renowned for their precocious talent, recorded a new two-year-old Stakes winner in style on 20 November when his son Biraaj took the six-furlong Prix Zeddaan at Fontainebleau.

Landing the six-furlong contest by a length, he was recording his third career victory having twice won previously over a mile. He was also third in the Listed Prix des Sablonnets on his last start.

Bred by Mrs E Bifova, he is the first foal to race out of the Nayef mare Annie The Doc, who is herself a half-sister to Balladonia – dam of Iffraaj’s first G1 winner and Champion juvenile, Wootton Bassett.

Iffraaj has enjoyed another successful year, with superstar filly Rizeena adding the G1 Coronation Stakes to her already impressive record, while Benvenue has further proved his sire’s ability to sire top performers of all ages by landing the G1 Gran Premio di Milano back in June. Recently, he sired a new Classic winner when Turn Me Loose took the G1 NZ 2,000 Guineas.

Iffraaj will stand at Dalham Hall Stud in 2015 at a fee of €22,500 October 1st SLF.
