Trained in France by Andre Fabre, Polish Precedent raced in Sheikh Mohammed's colours and was French champion three-year-old miler in 1989.

During that season, he won no fewer than six Stakes races, including the G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp and G1 Prix Jacques le Marois.

Polish Precedent sired some tough, world-class individuals, highlighted by his extraordinary Champion Rakti, who won six G1 contests including the Lockinge.

He also sired the mighty Pilsudski, who won the 1996 Breeders' Cup Turf, plus G1 contests in a further four countries. He was a champion in England, France, Ireland, and Germany.

Polish Precedent stood his entire career at Dalham Hall Stud and was buried there following his death in 2005.
