Rumbled Again confirmed she reserves her best for the Caulfield circuit, winning her second G3 Summoned Stakes on Saturday, 15 November.
The eight-year-old travelled kindly behind the speed for regular jockey Craig Williams before surging between runners in the home straight to beat Blindedbythelight by a half-head, with Barbie’sdreamworld a half-length away in third.
Bred by Mrs M. Condon in Victoria out of the Australian mare Adulate, Rumbled Again boosted her record to eight wins and 11 placings, earning $692,600 under Cranbourne trainer Michael Trotter.
Her victory continued a strong month for Darley’s Irish stallion Night Of Thunder, complementing feature-race wins by Rainbows Edge, Charlotte’s Web, and Azaniya.
Rainbows Edge won the Listed Prix Casimir Delamarre Stakes over 1,800m at Longchamp on 19 October, Charlotte’s Web claimed the G2 Premio Lydia Stakes 2,000m in Rome on 2 November, and Azaniya followed with a win in the Listed Prix Solitude Stakes over 2,000m at Saint-Cloud.
Night Of Thunder has sired 431 winners of 1,255 races worldwide, including 80 individual Stakes winners of 145 Black-Type events.
