Dr Omran, a first-crop son of Palace Pier, landed his first race on Sunday, 2 November when taking the G3 Premio Guido E Alessandro Berardelli. Going into the race a three-raced maiden, he won the 1800m Rome contest by one length over favourite Antico Moro with Drago Blues (by fellow first-crop sire Space Blues) in third.
Bred by AppleTree Stud and a €62,000 Breeze Up purchase, Dr Omran is a son of the Stakes-winning Galileo mare Astonishing.
Palace Pier has now sired four Stakes winners after G2 Lowther heroine Royal Fixation, G3 Solario victor A Bit Of Spirit and Morris Dancer, winner of the Listed Stonehenge Stakes on his last start.
