First-season sire Space Blues added a new winner to his record when his daughter Amelia ran out an impressive wide-margin winner over 1350m at Lyon-Parilly on Saturday, 14 June.
Making all the running, Amelia quickened clear in the straight and readily drew away from the field, going on to win by seven lengths.
Bred by J-P-J Dubois, Amelia is out of the multiple Stakes-placed Adlerflug mare Americana.
Space Blues was a multiple G1 winner, with victories in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile, G1 Prix de la Forêt and G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest. He has made an impressive start to his stallion career, with three winners already on the board. His first winner Power Blue has since gone on to be placed in both Listed and Group company.
