Impressive debutant winner for Space Blues

Joy Of Victory wins with ease in Rome

First-season sire Space Blues sired an impressive new winner when his juvenile son Joy Of Victory powered clear to win on debut over 1,500m in Rome on Tuesday, 21 October.

Trained by Vincenzo Caruso, Joy Of Victory was settled in rear and made smooth headway to lead with 400m to run, going on to win by over five lengths.

Bred by Wood Hall Stud, Joy Of Victory is out of the G3-placed Kodiac mare Barroche, and hails from the family of juvenile G1 winner Contredance and 1,000 Guineas winner Wince.

Space Blues has sired three new winners in the last ten days, following victories for both Sing The Blues and Drago Blues last weekend. He is yet another son of Dubawi to have made a brilliant start at stud and became the fastest stallion from the Dubawi line to sire a G1 winner when his son Power Blue landed the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.
