Valuable winner for Sepoy

She's Positive proves too speedy in Magic Millions Adelaide Two-Year-Old Classic

Sepoy filly She’s Positive became the first winner for her sire with a brilliant display of speed in the valuable Magic Millions Adelaide Two-year-old Classic over 1200m at Morphettville, 14 March.

Having her third career start and coming into the race off a second in the Listed Cinderella Stakes earlier this month, She’s Positive immediately overcame her wide draw, showing blistering speed leaving the stalls to jump clear of her rivals and cross down to lead on the rails. After straightening for home she kicked strongly and never looked like relinquishing her lead, winning impressively by almost two lengths.

Bred by Laurel Oak Bloodstock, She’s Positive is out of the G3-winning Anabaa mare Be Positive whose only other foal is the Stakes-placed Mr Optimistic (by Australian Darley stallion Domesday).

She’s Positive earned A$135,000 for her victory which elevated Sepoy to second place on the First-season sires’ table. Sepoy is also the sire of G3-placed filly Chipanda as well as fellow place-getters Giroux and Regimental Force.

Sepoy, whose first European-bred yearlings sold for up to £315,000, stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £15,000 October 1st SLF.
