New winner for Casamento

Silver Casina posts an easy victory to become the latest successful runner by his first-season sire

Casamento recorded a new winner in style on 11 June when his son Silver Casina recorded a convincing win in the seven-furlong maiden at Milan.

Settled in second position for much of the race, Silver Casina took the lead with a furlong left to run and soon moved clear, running on well to win by two lengths.

Silver Casina was bred in Ireland by Victor Stud and is the second winner out of the Alzao mare Silvertine, herself a half-sister to G1 winner Kinnaird, plus Dubawi’s Chester Vase winner Mickdaam. She is also closely related to smart performer Ivawood.

Casamento, a G1-winning juvenile himself, is also sire of promising winner Barrington, due to reappear in Tuesday’s Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.
