Dubawi colt impresses at York

Postponed easily wins the G2 Great Voltigeur Stakes

Postponed continued his climb up the ranks on Wednesday August 20 when running out the very easy winner of the G2 Great Voltigeur Stakes at York. The three-year-old son of Dubawi came into the race on the back of an equally impressive win in the Listed Glasgow Stakes and he was always travelling sweetly on the bridle off the fast early pace. He loomed up to the long time leader early in the straight and only had to be nudged out to the line to record a two-and-a-quarter length triumph over Snow Sky, with a massive eight lengths further back to the third.

Bred by St Albans Bloodstock, Postponed is out of the winner mare Ever Rigg (Dubai Destination) a daughter of G1-winning juvenile Bianca Nera.

Dubawi, who recently went past the 50 Group winner mark in record time, has been enjoying another banner year with Postponed becoming his 16th Group winner of the year. Amongst this number are four top-flight winners including 2,000 Guineas hero Night Of Thunder, top international sprinter Lucky Nine and Dubai scorer Prince Bishop.
