New Stakes winner for Blue Point

Love Words wins the Listed Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani at Milan

Brilliant young stallion Blue Point added another new Stakes winner to his record when his three-year-old daughter Love Words landed the Listed Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani over a mile at Milan.

A winner of five of her nine starts, Love Words was emulating her dam Victoria Regina, who was successful in the same race ten years earlier – when it held G3 status. Love Words is a half-sister to Stakes performer Irish Lullaby.

Blue Point has made a record-breaking start at stud and is responsible for first-crop G1 winners Big Evs, Kind Of Blue and Rosallion. Just yesterday, he sired another impressive juvenile G2 winner when his son Samangan stormed clear to take the G2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte at Chantilly – the colt’s second victory at Group level.
