Rebel’s Romance adds Royal Ascot victory to incredible CV

The son of Dubawi landed a 13th Group victory in the G2 Hardwicke Stakes

Globetrotting superstar Rebel’s Romance produced another brilliant performance, this time in the G2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday, 21 June.

Settled just off the pace by William Buick, Rebel’s Romance made a move around the home turn and quickened clear in the straight to win by just under two lengths.

Owned and bred by Godolphin, seven-time G1 winner Rebel’s Romance has now recorded 13 victories at Group level and 15 at Stakes level and is Godolphin's most prolific ever winner.

Rebel’s Romance is out of the Street Cry mare Minidress, making him a half-brother to G1 winner Measured Time.

This was Dubawis second winner at the Royal meeting this week after Trinity College’s victory in the G3 Hampton Court Stakes. He has sired 17 Black Type winners in 2025 - more than any other stallion in the world.
