New Stakes winner for Iffraaj

Francee lands the Listed Rangitikei Gold Cup at Trentham

Iffraaj sired another new Stakes winner when his five-year-old daughter Francee took the Listed Rangitikei Gold Cup over a mile at Trentham on Saturday, 5 May.

Settled nicely just off the pace, Francee was brought into contention on the rail approaching the home bend and joined the leading pair at just the right time to get her in front at the post.

Owned and bred by Haunui Farm, Francee is out of talented 10-time winner Calveen, who was successful at the highest level in the G1 Easter Cup, as well as in the G2 Japan Trophy, G2 Travis Stakes, and G2 Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes. Francee has now taken her earnings to over $215,000 in prize money.

Iffraaj is now the sire of 103 Stakes winners, including 13 G1 scorers, notably the high-class stallion Wootton Bassett and dual Champion Miler Ribchester
