More international Stakes glory for Farhh

Global Health Storms to first Stakes victory in the G2 Hansa Preis

Global Health notched up his first Group race victory in impressive style for his new trainer Fabian Xaver Weißmeier in the G2 Grosser Hansa Preis over 2400m at Hamburg on Saturday 4th July.

The son of Farhh, a winner last time out at Longchamp in June, was having his first start on German turf. Under jockey Benjamin Marie, the gelding broke well and travelled strongly on the heels of the leader. As the field rounded the home bend, crossing from the far to the near side of the track, Global Health's jockey looked to still have double handfuls and his mount carried him into challenge position. With the nearside rail for company, the pair powered clear within the final furlong, outperforming all rivals and storming over the line to a decisive 2 3/4 length victory. He has now won four of his eight starts and looks set to add more to his tally.

Bred by Gestut Ebbesloh, his owners until he changed hands just three days prior to this win, Global Health is out of the mare Galette (Authorized).

Farhh boasts numerous contenders at the highest level and, with a 100% clearance rate for his 2025 yearlings at an average sale price of £87k, continues to be a force in the sales ring.
