Dubawi’s globetrotting superstar Rebel’s Romance takes the step up in trip in his stride to land the G2 Yorkshire Cup on his first attempt at a mile and six furlongs at York on Friday, 16 May. It was his 12th win at Group level.
Tracking the leader, Rebel’s Romance travelled comfortably throughout the contest and found plenty when asked to tackle the leader Continuous with three furlongs to run. He showed a great attitude to see out the trip well, going on to score by a head, and take his prizemoney haul to just shy of £11 million.

A Godolphin homebred, Rebel’s Romance is out of the Street Cry mare Minidress, making him a half-brother to G1 winner Measured Time.
Dubawi has sired 12 Stakes winners this year, including leading G1 Derby contender Delacroix, who was an impressive winner of the G3 Derby Trial at Leopardstown earlier this month.
