Valuable Stakes win for Mistrusting

Daughter of Shamardal lands the Listed Boadicea Fillies' Stakes at Newmarket

A daughter of the G2 Cherry Hinton Stakes Misheer, Mistrusting (Shamardal) gained a very valuable Stakes win on Saturday 10 October when landing the Listed Boadicea Fillies' Stakes. Run over six furlongs at Newmarket, she challenged widest of all coming into the dip and running all the way to the line, she recorded a one-and-a-half length triumph, in what was probably her last race before she retires to the covering sheds.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Misheer sadly died but has left behind her Stakes-winning first foal Mistrusting, a two-year-filly by Dubawi named Morsian who is also in training with Charlie Appleby, and a yearling colt by New Approach, which was sold last week for 400,000Gns to Shadwell Estates.

Shamardal has enjoyed a tremendous 2015 with Mistrusting becoming his 28 Stakes winner. Amongst this number are three top flight winners Able Friend, Dan Excel and the Cheveley Park heroine Lumiere.
