Progressive Narniyn lands the G3 Prix de Flore

Daughter of Dubawi records her second successive Stakes win

Narniyn, one of no fewer than 16 Black type performers for Dubawi this month alone, took a step up in class to Pattern level in her stride on 29 October, running out the easy winner of the G3 Prix de Flore at Saint-Cloud.

Settled in third position under jockey Christophe Lemaire, the three-year-old filly was always travelling well and taking up the running two furlongs out, stayed on superbly to win by almost two lengths.

Bred by H H The Aga Khan, Narniyn is out of the unraced Alhaarth mare Narmina, herself a half-sister to Group winner and multiple Stakes producer Narwala.

Dubawi has now sired 17 individual Group winners this year, and a further nine Stakes winners. Four of those have won at G1 level, headed by triple G1 winner Al Kazeem.

His fee for 2014 is £100,000 October 1st Special live foal.
