Prince Bishop lands the G3 September Stakes

High-class son of Dubawi records his fourth Stakes victory; Royal Empire (Teofilo) takes second

Dubawi’s son Prince Bishop has long been a top-class performer for his sire and has already been G1 placed this year. On 7 September he recorded his fourth Black type win when landing the G3 September Stakes, run over 12 furlongs at Kempton.

Never far from the pace under Kieren Fallon, Prince Bishop quickened impressively down the home straight and just edged out fellow Godolphin runner Royal Empire, a last-time-out Group winner by Teofilo.

Bred by Thurso Limited, Prince Bishop is out of the Prospect Bay mare North East Bay, a half-sister to three Black type performers.

Dubawi has now sired an outstanding 17 individual Stakes winners this year, 12 of whom have won at Group level with four of those landing G1 contests.
