Juvenile colt Willow Magic becomes the tenth G1 winner for Dubawi

Dubawi has sired winners at the highest level in many countries, from the UK to the US, and Australia to Hong Kong. On 27 April, he added South Africa to the list of locations where his progeny have excelled, when two-year-old colt Willow Magic landed the SA Nursery at Turffontein to become his sire’s tenth G1 winner.

Quickly into stride, Willow Magic was always up with the pace and quickening impressively with a furlong and a half left to run, soon moved clear of his rivals and ran on superbly to win by a length and three quarters.

Willow Magic has never finished out of the first four in four starts and has now won on two occasions.

Bred by Rothwell Park, he is out of the Stakes-placed mare La Willow, also dam of two further winners.

Leading sire Dubawi has now sired ten individual Black type winners this year, four of whom have won at Group level. He is also sire of a further seven Black type performers. He stands at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket at a fee of £75,000 October 1st SLF.
