New Stakes winner for Teofilo

Moi Meme lands the Prix de Liancourt at Longchamp

Teofilo has been enjoying a very successful year and on 3 September, he added an 11th Stakes winner to his 2015 record when Moi Meme took the Listed Prix de Liancourt, run over ten-and-a-half furlongs at Longchamp.

Always prominent under Thierry Thulliez, the three-year-old filly was in the lead as the field entered the home straight and held off a challenge from the fast-finishing Marypop to win by a short head.

The Pascal Bary-trained filly broke her maiden on her racecourse debut (also at Longchamp) back in April, before finishing third in the Listed Prix de la Seine.

Moi Meme was bred by Scuderia Vittadini SRL and is out of the multiple Group winner Di Moi Oui, dam of two other Stakes performers in Toi et Moi and Moi Non Plus. The mare is herself a half-sister to Stakes-placed mare Pursuit Of Life – dam of Iffraaj’s Italian 1,000 Guineas winner Stay Alive.

Teofilo is also sire this year of Irish Guineas and Yorkshire Oaks winner Pleascach, fellow G1 winner Kermadec, plus G2 winners Arod and Tamanee (both of whom have been placed at G1 level this year).
