New Group win for Manduro’s Fractional

Prix Messidor victory continues a good weekend for his sire

A day after his daughter Techno Queen added a second straight Stakes win to her record, Manduro’s consistent son Fractional took the G3 Prix Messidor at Maisons-Laffitte.

Taking the one-mile contest by a length, the Godolphin runner was recording his ninth career victory and his fifth at Stakes level. He won the G2 Prix Dollar last October, a month after he won the G3 La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte.

Fractional is out of the G1-placed, Stakes-winning mare Sharp Point (Royal Academy), making him a half-brother to another multiple Group winner in Needlecraft (Mark Of Esteem).

Manduro has now sired ten Black type performers this year and is also sire of G1 winner Braco Forte and G2-placed Stakes winner True Story.
