Loritania caps a good weekend for her sire

Daughter of Teofilo lands the G3 Premio Verziere in Milan

It has been an excellent three days for Teofilo and it was capped off on Sunday when his three-year-old daughter Loritania landed the G3 Premio Verziere run over 2000m in Milan.

First Victory started the ball rolling on Friday with victory in the G3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket, before Amralah notched another Group triumph on Saturday in the G2 Herbert Power Stakes in Australia and Massaat and Sanus Per Aquam ran excellent races to finish second and third in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes.

Now the winner of three of her nine starts, Loritania is model of consistency and has never been out of the places in her career. Bred by Di Lualdi Lucia & C, she is a daughter of the Stakes-placed Sopran Lori, who is herself a half-sister to Italian Derby winner Cima de Triomphe.

Teofilo has now sired 19 Stakes winner in 2015 including dual G1 scorers Pleascach and Kermadec, the highly-rated G2 Summer Mile winner Arod and four Stakes-winning juveniles; Sanus Per Aquam, First Victory, Round Two and Fireglow.
