Fourth stakes win for Hunter’s Light

Dubawi four-year-old lands G3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes

Godolphin’s Hunter’s Light gained the fifth win of his career with victory in the G3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes over ten furlongs at Haydock. The Dubawi four-year-old came home with a two-length advantage over runner-up Jet Away, by Cape Cross.

Bred by Darley from the dual-winning Barathea mare Portmanteau, Hunter’s Light won three Listed races last season at Hamilton, Goodwood and Lingfield. In May he finished third to Street Cry’s Carlton House in the G3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown.

Dubawi, who stands at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket, is the sire of 44 stakes winners, his eight individual Group One winners including Poet's Voice, Makfi and Dubawi Heights.
