Echo Of Light sires first winner

Sound Advice wins well at Musselburgh

Darley stallion Echo Of Light sired his first winner on Friday June 17, when his juvenile son Sound Advice won going away at Musselburgh. Making his racecourse debut in this seven-furlong contest, he came wide coming into the straight and ploughed his own furrow up the nearside rail, running on really well to win by one-and-three-quarter lengths.

Owned and bred by the G L S Partnership, he is the first foal of Danetime mare Flylowflylong, a three-time winner between six and eight furlongs.

A paternal half-brother to star stallion Dubawi, Echo Of Light won five Group races in a 16-race career, including breaking the course record in the G3 Strensall Stakes at York. From the top family of Marju and Salsabil, his first runners are hitting the track with several showing distinct promise on their debuts.
