Dubawi's Double

Worthadd wins a G2 and Frankenstein adds another Listed to his career

Derby Italiano winner Worthadd, by new stallion phenomenon Dubawi, won another G2 event on Sunday, May 29, as he returned to his home country after a fantastic second place finish at Newbury in the G1 Lockinge Stakes. This time the May foaled Worthadd won the prestigious G2 Premio Carlo Vittadini over a mile in Milan, the same race that has produced previous winners such as Ramonti and Pressing.

Worthadd was bred by Compagnia Generale S.R.L and is owned by Scuderia Incolinx. He is out of the winning Rahy mare Wigman, a descendant of the multiple G1 winning mare White Star Line

And Dubawi’s success didn’t stop there, as he had a second Black-type winner on the same day with the four-year-old Frankenstein winning the Listed Coppa d’Oro di Milano. It was Frankenstein's third Listed victory and second at the Milan track.

Lifting, Frankenstein’s dam, is a Listed winner in Italy and has produced two other Black type horses in the Listed winner Arneb and Listed placed Lift Cape, by fellow Darley stallion Cape Cross. Bred by Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti and owned by Freedom Holding, Frankenstein has now a total of seven wins in his career and has won or placed in five Black type races.

Dubawi stands at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket for a fee of £55,000. The son of the unforgettable Dubai Millennium has produced four G1 winners and a total of 35 Black type horses from his first two crops.
