May’s Dream became the third G1 winner for her sire New Approach with a thrilling win in the G1 Australasian Oaks over 10f at Morphettville, April 26.

A three-year-old filly from her sire’s first Australian crop, May’s Dream was runner-up behind star Exceed And Excel filly Guelph in the G1 Thousand Guineas in October. Bred by the late Worrall Dunn, May’s Dream is the third foal and first winner for G1 winner She’s Archie, runner-up to Makybe Diva in the 2003 Melbourne Cup.

May's Dream was the second leg of a Group double for New Approach with Gamblin' Guru prevailing in the G3 Chairman's Stakes over the same course earlier in the day.

Bred by the Guru Breeding Syndicate, Gamblin' Guru is the second foal of unraced Fusaichi Pegasus mare Glory Guru, a half-sister to G1 Australian Derby winner Gold Guru.

May’s Dream joins Darley stallion Dawn Approach as well as Talent as G1 winners by New Approach, who stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £80,000. Dawn Approach stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €35,000.
