Darley stallions lead the way in Deauville

1-2 for Dubawi and Iffraaj in the Listed Prix de la Calonne

The feature race of the day at Deauville was the Listed Prix de la Calonne and the Darley sires provided the exacta in the nine-and-a-half-furlong contest with Dubawi’s daughter Ame Bleue leading home Johara (Iffraaj) by three quarters of a length.

Bred by Dayton Investments Limited, Ame Bleue is out Aquarelliste, winner of three G1 contests – the Prix Diame Hermes, the Prix Vermeille and the Prix Ganay. She was also second in the Arc and the Hong Kong Vase. Aquarelliste has produced five winners to date, three of whom have won or placed at Black type level.

Dubawi has now sired 15 individual Black type winners so far this year (including multiple G1 winner Postponed), plus a further 15 horses who have been placed at Stakes level.
