Darley sires dominate the Floodlit Stakes

Authorized’s Missed Call leads home the trifecta in Kempton Listed contest

Authorized added a new Stakes winner on 4 November when his daughter Missed Call led home a Darley-sired 1-2-3 in tenacious style in the Listed Floodlit Stakes at Kempton.

Settled towards the rear of the field under Tom Queally, Missed Call (who is trained by James Fanshawe) made her move at the top of the home straight and put up a tremendous battle to overtake long-time leader Hamelin (Cape Cross), with Dartmouth (Dubawi) taking third.

Missed Call was bred by Francois Drion and partners and is out of the Red Ransom mare Incoming Call, from the direct family of G1 winners Epicuris and Miss Summer.

Authorized has now sired 13 individual Stakes winners this year, more than any other stallion in France. They include Hartnell, one of four career G1 winners for his sire, plus G2-winning duo Complacent and Maygrove.

Authorized stands at Haras du Logis at a fee of €10,000 October 1st, Special live foal.
