Darley Seymour Cup turned into procession by son of Iffraaj

New Zealand G1 winner Turn Me Loose claims first Australian Stakes success

G1-winning Iffraaj four-year-old Turn Me Loose turned the Listed Darley Seymour Cup into a procession with a dominant all-the-way win, October 18.

A winner of the G1 New Zealand 2,000 Guineas last November, Turn Me Loose was having his second run in Australia following a runner-up finish at Flemington earlier this month. Despite carrying the top weight, Turn Me Loose proved far too good, careering away to a three-length victory.

Bred by Mr G and Mrs M Simon, Turn Me Loose is the only winner out of Danehill mare Indomitable, a half-sister to Stakes performer Martial Art.

Turn Me Loose is one of five G1 winners for Iffraaj along with Rizeena, Chriselliam, Benvenue and Wootton Bassett.
