Champion filly for Authorized

Seal Of Approval wins the G1 British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes

Seal Of Approval became Authorized's second G1-winning filly from his first crop this season on Saturday October 19 when easily landing the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot.

A very lightly raced, but highly progressive filly, she has now won four of her six starts, with her only two defeats coming on her debut, and at Doncaster, when unluckily falling in the G2 Park Hill Stakes. Appreciating the soft ground and fast pace, she came clear in the closing stages to record a four-length triumph with Oaks heroine Talent (New Approach) back in third.

Owned and bred by T R G Vestey, she is out of the winning Dr Devious mare Hannda, a half-sister to two Stakes winners in Hanabad and Hamairi.

Seal Of Approval becomes Authorized's third G1 winner of the year after Ambivalent, winner of the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh and three-year-colt Complacent, the best of his generation in Australia and winner of last weekend's Spring Champion Stakes.
