Casamento in demand

Six-figure colt heads Casamento's progeny at Goffs November Foal Sale

The first foals by Racing Post Trophy winner Casamento continued to shine at Goffs during the third session of the November Foal Sale, headed by a colt purchased for €105,000 - a fantastic return on his covering fee of €5,000.

The April-born foal (pictured), offered by Ballincurra Stud, is out of the Bahamian Bounty mare Three TImes and hails from the family of the G2 winner Carlton House, currently standing his first season at Darley's Kelvinside Stud in Australia. He was purchased by Gay O’Callaghan of Yeomanstown Stud who also snapped up another colt by Casamento for €55,000 to top the sale’s opening session on Monday.

Earlier in the day, Manister House Stud went to €60,000 to secure his colt out of Sarah Ann (consigned by Ridge Manor Stud), who is from the family of G2 winner Wild Coco.

Casamento, who stands at Kildangan Stud, has averaged over €33,000 for the first three days of the sale - almost seven times his fee of €5,000.
