Bow Creek wins his second G2 in succession

Shamardal's consistent three-year-old son Bow Creek added further glory to his burgeoning record on Saturday September 13 when landing the G2 Clipper Boomerang Mile at Leopardstown. Coming into the race on the back of a triumph in the G2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood, he has now won five races after today's half-a-length triumph.

Bred by Roundhill Stud and sold as a yearling for 130,000Gns, Bow Creek is a half-brother to Group colt Dare To Dream and out of the G3-winning mare Beneventa (Most Welcome).

It was a good day for Roundhill Stud as they bred Rizeena (Iffraaj) who was an excellent second in the G1 Matron Stakes earlier in the card.

Bow Creek is one of 11 Group winners sired by Shamardal this year including top-flight scorers Mukhadram and Dan Excel, progressive French G2-winning filly Fintry, and fellow G2-winners Sommerabend and Excellent Result.
