Black Arrow hits the target

Teofilo sires another Black-type winner

Two-year-old colt Black Arrow, by Teofilo, became a new Black-type winner for his sire when taking the Listed Winterfavorit Trial at Cologne on Sunday, September 25. It was the second win in as many starts for the Andreas Wohler-trained colt. The trainer also won later in the day the G3 Kolner Stutenpreis with Kapitale, by another Darley stallion Dubawi.

Black Arrow was bred in Ireland by Rabbah Bloodstock and is owned by Stall 24. The winner is out of the Listed-placed Diesis mare Fann that produced a full-brother to Black Arrow in 2010, a filly by Darley stallion Cape Cross in 2011 and is in foal to another Darley stallion, Epsom Derby winner New Approach.

Teofilo has now sired 12 winners including four Black-type horses led by the G3 winner Remember Alexander and Listed winner Teolane.
