Best Of Times victorious at Newmarket

Son of Dubawi wins his first Stakes race

Two very promising three-year-olds stepped up to Stakes company with success on Saturday 2 May when Best Of Times (Dubawi) led home Balios (Shamardal) by half-a-length in the Listed Newmarket Stakes. Both hold Derby entries and with three lengths back to the third, both look like very promising performers.

Bred by Darley, Best Of Times is a son of the three-time winning mare Nabati (Rahy), who is herself a half-sister to three Group winners in Nedawi, Fitful Skies (also by Dubawi) and Wall Street, and a granddaughter of the Champion Dahlia.

Dubawi, who sired his tenth Group winner of 2015 yesterday when Bawina won the G2 Prix du Muguet, has now sired 88 Stakes winners with 17 of these scoring at the highest level. He stands at Dalham Hall Stud for a fee of £125,000 Oct 1st, SLF alongside his G1-winning son Poet's Voice (£12,000).
