Arc trial double for Dubawi

Postponed impresses in the G2 Prix Foy

On an action-packed afternoon on 13 September, Dubawi added a second Arc trial winner in superb style as his King George hero Postponed made light work of the heavy Longchamp going to win the G2 Prix Foy.

Settled behind his pacemaker Roseburg for much of the 12-furlong contest, Postponed moved up to take the lead as he entered the home straight and showing his trademark tenacity, soon saw off the challenge from Spiritjim to win by three-quarters of a length and in a time well over a second faster than the previous trials of the day.

Postponed has won or placed in 11 of his 13 starts and the Luca Cumani-trained colt now has four Stakes victories to his name including the aforementioned G1 King George, plus the G2 Great Voltigeur Stakes and the Listed Glasgow Stakes.

Bred by St Albans Bloodstock LLP, Postponed is out of the winning Dubai Destination mare Ever Rigg, herself a daughter of G1 winner Bianca Nera.

Postponed is one of no fewer than 10 G1 winners this year for the world’s leading stallion Dubawi, who is also sire of French Derby winner and today’s Prix Niel winner New Bay, Juddmonte International heroine Arabian Queen, plus Lockinge winner Night Of Thunder – who will stand at Kildangan Stud in 2016.
