Amy Eria strikes at Goodwood

Daughter of Shamardal wins the G3 Oak Tree Stakes

French-trained Amy Eria, a four-year-old daughter of Shamardal, completed a successful raiding party when landing the G3 Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood. The winner of the Listed Prix Amandine last season, she was always travelling well and only needed to be nudged out to record a cost half-length triumph.

Bred by Daniel Chassagneux and bought by current connections for €85,000 as a yearling, Amy Eria is one of three winners bred by the Stakes-placed Octagonal mare Berroscoberro.

Shamardal’s 21 Stakes winners this year including the world’s best turf miler Able Friend, Singapore G1 winner Dan Excel, with eight further Group winners including Balios, Dariyan, Amaron, Tryster, French Navy and Fintry.
