Alrahma remains unbeaten in France

Daughter of Shamardal lands the G3 Prix de Cabourg

Shamardal sired a new Group winner on Sunday 31 July when his two-year-old daughter Alrahma stepped up in company in style in the G3 Prix de Cabourg, run over six furlongs at Deauville. Making a successful debut at Chantilly on her only other start at the beginning of June, she was never far of the pace and only had to driven out to record a valuable Group victory.

Bred by Shadwell, Alrahma is a daughter of the Stakes-winning Oasis Dream mare Albaraah, who hails from the extended family of Hernando. Albaraah also has a full-brother foal to Alrahma.

Shamardal has now sired 15 individual Stakes winners in 2016 including eight that have scored at Group level. Amongst this number are top-flight scorers Dariyan and Tryster, leading fillies Usherette and Speedy Boarding and Australian G2-winner Bow Creek.
