Al Maktoum Challenge R3 victory for Prince Bishop

He becomes Dubawi's sixth G1 winner from his first crop

Prince Bishop landed his biggest success of his career when running out the impressive victor of the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge R3 over 10f on Meydan's Tapeta track. From the impressive first crop of Dubawi, he was third in the race last season behind Capponi and today's victory was his fifth at Group level and ninth overall.

Prince Bishop becomes Dubawi's sixth top-flight winner from his first European crop, and the second to win on Meydan's Tapeta track after Dubai World Cup winner and Darley Japan stallion Monterosso.  Dubawi's first-crop also includes 2,000 Guineas hero Makfi, top International Sprinter Lucky Nine and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner, and fellow Dalham Hall stallion Poet's Voice.

Bred by Thurso Ltd, Prince Bishop is one of four winners out of the Prospect Bay mare North East Bay, who is a half-sister to two Stakes winners. North East Bay also has a yearling colt by Poet's Voice and is currently in foal to Shamardal's G1-winning juvenile Casamento.

Dubawi is standing the current season at Dalham Hall Stud for a fee of £100,000 alongside Poet's Voice, who is at £12,000 Oct 1st, SLF.
